He founded Tommaso Grandi Dental Clinic in 2013 for treatment, research and in the field of oral implantology.
He takes part at international multicenter studies on implant dentistry. He is author of several publications in the most renowned peer-reviewed international journals about implantology.
Hei is member of the Editorial Board of the European Journal of Oral Implantology.
He is member of the Implant Council of the British Academy of Implant & Restorative Dentistry.
He is scientific consultant for an implant company.
He lectures at courses and congresses in Italy and abroad.

He conducted his research activity in the university and privately since 2004, dealing initially with the relationship between the periodontal disease and systemic diseases.
From October 2008 to October 2009 he was the head of a research project that was the winner of a government tender. Project Title: “Innovative implant design with a new concept in prosthetic platform and multiuse bone scraper for intraoral harvesting”.
He takes part at prospective and randomised trials in implantology with an international team of opinion leaders since 2009.
He is the principal investigator of several researches published in the most renowned peer-reviewed implant journals in the world.
